Two new transformer substations, Orikum 110/35/20 kV and Himare 110/35/20 kV, built within the frames of the construction of South Albania 110 kV Circuit Line financed by KfW, German Development Bank, were put into operation at the end of July. Končar – Power Plant and Electric Traction Engineering (Končar – KET) compiled the complete design documentation, organised construction, erection and assembly as well as testing and inspection of the equipment and put the plant into operation. Almost 90 % of the substation equipment was made by the Končar Group Companies. In addition to Končar KET, the following Končar Group Companies participated in the Project: High Voltage Switchgear, Electronics and Informatics, Instrument Transformers, Distributive and Special Transformers and Switchgear.
Constructing two new facilities, OSHEE Albania, the Albanian Distribution System Operator, strengthened the regional electric power grid of a high importance for that region.
